One hundred years of aviation in the czech republic

This year is the centenary of the first flight of an aircraft in Czechoslovakia by Jan Kaspar.
The Czech Republic will celebrate the anniversary of this 100 years of flying and its significance in the first week of June 2010, when you will find a celebration of Czech aviation everywhere in the Czech Republic.

This celebration will have its climax on the weekend of the 5th/6th June 2010 where there will be a unique airshow at the airport of Pardubice. 100 years of Czech aviation history will be shown in a series of unique displays of a theatrical nature, with nine linked acts and themes. Based on true historical events, spectators will experience flashbacks to key moments of Czech aviation history.

Genuine historic aircraft of Czech pilots are going to meet their enemies in the air, complete with contemporary ground equipment, utilities and relics. The lead players are renowned actors, experienced pilots and extras, overseen by proffesional theatre and sound directors.

This theatre play will have its public preview on Saturday 5th June, and the premiere will be performed on Sunday 6th June. Beside the main theatre play, the famous aerobats and beautiful airplanes will perform their unique routines, complemented by a suberb ground program and Children´s Day.

The main program is planned to start at noon but will depend upon actual weather conditions.

Prior to the airshow, there will be a promotional multi-dimensional program on display for the public in cities- mainly in Prague and Pardubice. Updates are published on www.100letaviatiky.cz , the event´s official website.

Under the patronage of institutional officials and with the help of partners the experienced team of the Aviation Fair Association is proud to be authorised to organise these celebrations. The twentieth annual Aviation Fair will also be integrated into the program.
